Please support Zachary and Oli in their challenge to walk 100 miles in 50 days to raise money for Small Acts of Kindness.

They were inspired by their schools’ value of the month “kindness” and the amazing achievements of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Small Acts of Kindness is a local charity who reduce loneliness and isolation for older people across Hertfordshire. They do this by sourcing and distributing practical gifts and information that reduce the negative impact that feeling lonely and isolated can have on older people’s physical and mental wellbeing. They have a special interest in helping older people who are cold in their homes. They seek opportunities to connect communities with kindness.

So far this winter they have reached over 16,500 older people, many of whom are incredibly lonely and isolated. Lockdown means they cannot spend time with their family and friends and this is having a huge impact on physical and mental wellbeing.

A recent recipient of a Small Acts of Kindness Warm in Winter gift bag said, “It made me feel very happy and not so alone.”

Zachary and Oli have committed to walk 100 miles in 50 days, beginning on Random Acts of Kindness Day, to raise money for this wonderful charity and they would like to ask for your help.
Every donation that you make will make a difference to a local older person - many of whom have to make the almost unimaginable choice between eating and heating their home.

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." - Aesop
